SEEBURGER’s FSI Integration Suite Delivers New Compliance Oversight for Banks

Industry’s Only Unified Data Transmission Platform Equips Banks with Built-in Workflow & Other...

NEW YORK, NY – Global business integration software provider SEEBURGER today announced that its
offers advanced features to facilitate bank compliance with U.S. and European regulatory mandates. These features – ranging from built-in workflow to comprehensive audit trails and beyond – come standard with SEEBURGER’s data transmission solution suite for the financial service industry (FSI) and are directly related to a 100% SEEBURGER-engineered architecture that eliminates the visibility, policy enforcement and interoperability limitations of fragmented legacy systems assembled from multiple third-party products.

In the case of Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations, for example, the SEEBURGER platform not only automates onboarding, authentication and entitlement procedures needed to meet enhanced due diligence requirements but also applies business rules to the data that traverses the platform to ensure that data meeting pre-defined criteria is routed to the KYC compliance engine or a designated individual. The FSI Integration Suite also keeps an archive of the entire transaction lifecycle, enabling easy auditing and reporting. The same process can be applied to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations and other mandates such as Dodd Frank and the U.S. Patriot Act.
Similarly, in the case of regulatory reform on derivatives, the SEEBURGER platform provides critical audit trail capabilities that were missing from over-the-counter (OTC) swaps before the financial crisis of 2007. It also provides the sophisticated and highly scalable infrastructure required to handle high-volume, complex data exchange with a near-zero error rate, addressing the 400% increase in OTC derivative data rates that is expected in the first few years of enforcement of the new derivatives regulations.
SEEBURGER features supporting the banking industry’s compliance requirements include:

A built-in BPEL engine that enables complex workflow and process orchestration, enabling banks to quickly add or change rules to address new financial regulations while also eliminating the complications of using a third-party business process management solution.

Centralized data visibility without the information silos created by disparate systems or platforms assembled from multiple third-party components. This includes near-real-time visibility into the status of all data transmissions and business processes, along with automated monitoring to ensure secure, efficient, error-free and uncompromised transmissions.

Integrated governance with policy engine compliance alerts and exception management, including the ability to automatically alert compliance departments to transactions that violate pre-defined rules.

A comprehensive audit trail of all data transfers that simplifies root cause analysis, facilitates production of audit reports, and helps demonstrate compliance effort to both internal and external auditors.

“Regulatory changes will continue to make increasing demands on financial services institutions that cannot be met by legacy technology infrastructure with its fragmented components, limited functionality, and need to manually compile audit trails from the multiplicity of products in use,” said Derek Schwartz, SEEBURGER Senior VP Financial Services. “Implementing a modern, unified infrastructure provides the ability to respond to evolving compliance requirements while also increasing security, reducing the total cost of ownership, and ensuring fast and reliable SLA-compliant operations ranging from payment processing to trade execution.”
The FSI Integration Suite offers a single, unified business integration platform that overcomes the complex mosaic of electronic delivery channels, file formats and data transfer technologies that financial institutions have acquired over the years to accommodate developments ranging from evolving protocols to mergers and acquisitions. This patchwork of systems has resulted in costly tool duplication, expensive custom script maintenance, distributed and fragmented legacy infrastructures that do not interoperate, and difficulty in meeting service level agreements (SLAs). It also limits visibility and traceability that are essential to effective data governance and smooth compliance audits.
With 100% in-house development of all components to avoid interoperability problems caused by acquisition of third-party solutions, the SEEBURGER platform makes it possible to deploy a secure, consolidated communications gateway that can accommodate any format, standard, gateway, protocol and business partner as well as accelerate the pace of data exchange to meet SLAs.
SEEBURGER migration tools and strategies - developed over 27 years of B2B integration experience – reduce migration time and expense, mitigate risk, and assist banks in replacing unwieldy legacy data transmission infrastructures to achieve the benefits of IT modernization and consolidation.
SEEBURGER is exhibiting at Booth 1841 at the SIFMA Tech conference that opens today in New York.

SEEBURGER’s SEE FX Mobile Wins 4th Award for Secure Mobile File Sharing

Network Products Guide Honor Reflects Product’s Ability to Safeguard & Manage BYOD Data Exchange...

ATLANTA, GA – SEEBURGER announced today that SEEBURGER File Exchange (SEE FX) Mobile, its
, has earned a Silver Award in the Mobile and Wireless Solutions category in the 2013 Hot Companies and Best Products Awards sponsored by Network Products Guide. The product – a key component of the SEEBURGER Managed File Transfer (SEE MFT) suite – enables users to download and upload business files of any size to and from smartphones and tablets with automatic encryption, policy enforcement, complete file tracking, centralized control over file transfers, and automatic file synchronization across all computing devices.
The award marked the fourth honor for SEE FX Mobile, which has also won one Golden Bridge Award and two Info Security Products awards in the last six months.
Today, according to industry analysts, nearly one-fourth of information workers who use a tablet for work and 15% who use a smartphone for work now utilize a file sync, sharing or online locker service in order to exchange data from their mobile devices or place needed data in a location where it can be easily retrieved from the road. These services lack corporate controls necessary to ensure security, governance and compliance, including centralized visibility into all mobile data exchanges.
SEE FX Mobile provides enterprise-grade protections and management enabling mobile users to easily and securely exchange and access document drafts, sales presentations, business videos, business contracts, engineering drawings and other files from their mobile devices. Benefits include the ability to:

Access corporate files from mobile devices without utilizing consumer-grade file sharing services

Subscribe to files to automatically receive the latest versions as soon as they are available

Automatically synchronize files across laptops, desktops and mobile devices

Enforce corporate and regulatory information security policies even for mobile users

Maintain a complete, integrated audit trail of both mobile and non-mobile file exchanges through integration with SEEBURGER Managed File Transfer, a comprehensive suite of solutions for user-to-user, user-to-system and system-to-system data sharing.

SEE FX Mobile is a free downloadable app for users of SEEBURGER Managed File Transfer. More information is available at
or by emailing
.

Optimized Business Processes with the BIS Platform

At Zeleris, Business Integration Suite is used as the central platform to manage all business...

Bretten, – Around 40.000 service requests and about 10,000 processes are handled and documented at Zeleris (Telefónica Servicios Integrales de Distribución, S.A.U.) every day. Automatic workflows and a central platform for the exchange of business data now ensure transparent processes without media discontinuity.
Zeleris, Spain's leading logistics company, must constantly manage a huge volume of data. Automated and optimized processes are leading to significant savings in costs and time. Now, global freight services are processed by a central data hub (BIS6) via an organized workflow system and are automatically documented and monitored. Business Integration Suite controls all integration tasks (EAI), business data exchange, and data transport. All internal systems and those of customers and suppliers are integrated in the SOA-based solution. Streamlined document and information systems that interact independently of format improve the service through rapid response times. "The generic workflow hugely simplifies our release processes. We can determine the people responsible for processing and approval, and through continuous monitoring of the processes, we can adhere to a multilevel release workflow in accordance with defined criteria," says Jose Antonio Peco, IT Project Manager at Zeleris. Logistics processes and customer requirements of all kinds can now be promptly handled in real time.

With five plants, Butterball has a disparate technical environment that includes a mix of Windows and AS/400 applications as well as SQL Server and Oracle databases. The projects have helped Butterball solve supply chain and technical challenges ranging from heavy peak season volumes and rapid order turnaround requirements to batch processing delays, growth in trading partner numbers and serialization issues on inbound shipments.
Butner’s session is scheduled at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 14. The complete ASUG agenda is available at
.

ESS Brings B2B Integration to Global Customers with SEEBURGER Partnership

Now Offers SEEBURGER EDI/B2B & Managed File Transfer for CPG, Retail & Financial Services Clients

EDISON, NJ and ATLANTA, GA – Enterprise Software Solutions (ESS), a New Jersey-based IT services provider with offices on four continents, announced today that it has selected the widely adopted SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite to provide
,
and other B2B integration functions to ESS clients in the consumer products, retail and
industries. Key factors in the decision included SEEBURGER’s longtime integration partnerships with both SAP and Oracle, the robust managed file transfer functionality built into the SEEBURGER platform, and the use of standard communication protocols that will eliminate the need for each client partner to have proprietary communications software.

Click to Tweet: ESS Brings B2B Integration to Global Customers with SEEBURGER Partnership -

With a broad spectrum of IT services including enterprise integration projects, ESS has seen rising client demand for technology to automate the exchange of supply chain communications and financial data as well as to transfer large files and other unstructured data without the file size, security, visibility and compliance limitations of email and FTP. The addition of the SEEBURGER platform will enable ESS to address both structured and unstructured data exchange needs with a single standards-based solution used by thousands of companies around the globe for more than two decades.

“Managed file transfer in particular has been a major B2B pain point for our clients. We have had to build custom tools for a number of clients, including one that needs to transfer files as large as 5GB and another that used to write FTP scripts for thousands of files that are batched every night,” said Raj Talasila, President , ESS. “Partnering with SEEBURGER will allow us to offer a proven and far less expensive solution that communicates with any third party, handle multiple B2B functions with a common infrastructure for easy deployment and management, and help our clients eliminate disparate legacy B2B components that add both complexity and cost for their IT teams.”

All functions and components of the SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite are now available through ESS, including:

(MFT), a solution that encrypts, tracks and traces non-structured business files of any size that are exchanged with both internal and external users. It also eliminates the unwieldy patchwork of plug-ins, FTP/SFTP servers, and gateway- or application-specific MFT servers, and the risks associated with consumer file sharing services.

, a set of solutions that automate supply chain transaction messages with strategies ranging from conventional B2B/EDI to WebEDI. The B2B/EDI components of BIS can be used in tandem with SEE MFT to consolidate management and reporting of all business file transfer activity under one interface for the first time in the industry.

, an SAP add-on that provides full visibility into supply chain transactions from the SAP interface for easy access by business users without the need to call EDI staff to check individual processes. This eliminates delays in problem identification and resolution, improves customer service, and reduces costs.

, an SAP add-on that fully automates booking by scanning incoming paper-based orders, verifying relevant information against SAP master data, and seamlessly linking and automating order entry, order verification, delivery, invoicing and receipt of payment to accelerate revenue recognition.

“ESS has seen the market demand for modern B2B integration solutions firsthand and recognized the value of having a single unified platform both for clients and for their own technology consultants. It eliminates the need to be trained on different point solutions, makes it possible to add new components without adding new infrastructure, and enables one consolidated view of both structured and unstructured data exchange activity if desired,” said John Applegate, VP Global Channels & Alliances, SEEBURGER. “Channel partners like ESS play a critical role in bringing these benefits and related business process improvements to enterprises around the world.”

SEEBURGER Managed File Transfer recognized at Best in Biz Awards 2013

SEEBURGER Managed File Transfer (MFT) ensures rapid and secure transfer of data both to and from...

Bretten – Security is still a high priority for companies in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. This is why judges at this year’s Best in Biz Awards again recognized lots of security products in the EMEA region. The SEEBURGER solution for Managed File Transfer (MFT) was awarded second place in the Enterprise Product of the Year category.

A recent
on data security found that only 34 per cent of smartphone users who participated in the survey use a password to secure their mobile device. Many of these smartphone users also use their phones to download mission-critical data for business purposes. “These figures show just how important MFT solutions are to ensuring secure data transfer. We’re delighted with our Best in Biz award because it recognizes our experience in this area,” explains Bernd Seeburger, CEO of SEEBURGER AG.

If sensitive data is stored on a smartphone and goes missing, it can result in costly financial damages for the company, and a loss of trust on the part of clients and partners. A MFT platform closes any similar gaps in security and enables fast, secure transfer of all types and volumes of data. End-to-end monitoring provides a transparent overview of who sent which files to which recipient, and if and when they were downloaded.

A centralized authorization tool also means that only authorized individuals can access files as temporary downloads, by entering a password. The original file is always stored centrally in the MFT system, which is especially crucial if employees are using mobile devices. The solution can also be fully integrated with existing IT and SAP landscapes – for example, it can easily be linked up with Microsoft Outlook.

Find out more about the Best in Biz Awards at

All the winners are listed at

Further information on Managed File Transfer is available at

About SEEBURGER

SEEBURGER AG is a global specialist in business process integration offering a comprehensive business integration suite.
